PiPTapentadol is an opioid drug, analgesic for the treatment of moderate to severe pain, a derivative of Tapentadol. This drug has been developed as an agonist of the μ-opioid receptor and a norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (NRI), therefore PiPTapentadol has excellent analgesic properties.
Unlike tramadol, this drug has weak effects on serotonin reabsorption, and to a greater extent has opioid properties.
Chemistry
PiPTapentadol is a derivative of Tapentadol and has a related chemical structure.
Pharmacology
PiPTapentadol is a designer drug and the toxicological and pharmacological properties are not fully understood.
Studies in mice have shown that PiPTapentadol acts as a strong analgesic comparable to oxycodone, where a dosage of 50 mg of piptapentadol corresponds to 10 mg of oxycodone.
