MD-prolintane

MD-prolintane is a stimulant drug, an amphetamine derivative and is similar to a substituted class of pyrrolidine compounds such as MDPV, A-PVP, acting as a norepinephrine and dopamine reuptake inhibitor. This drug was developed for the first time in the 1950s and was actively used by students and employees as a stimulating drug to ensure working capacity and mental activity.

Chemistry

MD-prolintane belongs to the amphetamine class stimulant, but differs in that it consists of a phenylethylamine core with a propyl group substituted in the alpha carbon, as well as a pyrrolidine ring in the amino group. MD-prolintane is similar to A-PVP, but there is no ketone group attached to the beta carbon.

Pharmacology

Studies in mice have shown that MD-prolintane acts more as a catecholamine reuptake inhibitor and as a norepinephrine and dopamine reuptake inhibitor, causing a stimulating and euphoric effect. MD-prolintane also reduces appetite, increases endurance and increases blood pressure. If used improperly and the dosage is exceeded, it can cause side effects such as anxiety, irritability, muscle cramps, diarrhea and nausea.
